      We started our Chem-Dry franchise because we knew there was a better way to clean carpets than many of the popular methods used today.  Everyone knows that steam cleaning soaks the carpets for days.  No matter what name they use or any claims on being "Green" - wet carpets will lead to mildew and mold growth between the carpet and pad.  There are several other low moisture systems that have all been rejected by the carpet manufacturers.  They use sawdust, soybean, or corn powders to try and emulsify the dirt.  These low moisture systems only destroy the carpet fibers and leave behind a tremendous amount of residue.

     Be very careful when selecting a "Green" carpet cleaning service.  Make sure they are GREEN CERTIFIED as a company.  This is the only way to ensure your family is safe from the average Acidic and Alkaline chemicals the steam cleaners use.
